Our Favorite Health Equipment & Products

Below are a few of my favorite items that help me achieve a healthy lifestyle and that I highly recommend. I'll be updating it periodically as I think of or find other items. I hope you find it helpful.

EXERCISE

Parallette Bars

I recently purchased these parallette bars to incorporate into my workout and I love them! I did a lot of research ahead of time to find the best ones for the best price. These are solid metal and high quality.

TRX Workout Kit

I freakin love TRX bands! I use them when I'm short on time but want/need a workout. They use your body weight and allow for a full body workout. They can also attach to a door, so they're easy to use at home or traveling etc. I highly recommend them!

Fitbit

My wife recently talked me into getting a Fitbit...and I have to say that I absolutely love it! I love that it tracks my sleep cycles and heart rate, among other things. It's really been motivating and helpful to see my personal data and what I'm actually accomplishing each day. I highly recommend it.  They've got different and cheaper versions if you click through and look.

Stationary Bike

We cancelled our gym memberships and are investing in our own home gyms, and guess what?? There's great bikes that don't cost thousands of dollars (we won't name names :). 

Weights - Adjustable

You'll likely want some weights, and there's two ways to go. You can get a set of adjustable weights or go with the individual weights or plates. These are some of the most affordable adjustable weights with the best rankings. If you're looking for a cheaper option, see below.

Resistance Bands

I freakin love these! They are a game changer, inexpensive, but hard and super effective. I can finally do back pull and other exercises easily without the complex weight system.

Doorway Pull up Bar

I've loved this and it holds up to 300 lbs. Its an inexpensive, simple way to get your pullups in (great back exercise!) and there's no installation needed. 

Yoga Mat

There's lot of different yoga mats out there. We like this one and it comes in different colors

NUTRITION

Protein Powder

There are tons of protein powders to choose from.

This is the one I use.

If you are lactose intolerant, then choose a dairy free alternative. The same is true for BCAAs.

​No matter which protein or BCAAs you choose make sure there is minimal fat and carbs (<3 grams of each for every 20+ grams of protein).
